Law of natural selection

Natural selection is the differential survival and reproduction of individuals due to differences in phenotype. It is a key mechanism of evolution, the change in heritable traits of a population over time.

I believe i introduced this terminology in my prior postings, just couldn't remember what did I use it for. Anyways, was having more lunch with this other guy since my gay buddy left the bank the 2nd time, this dood was into health stuff, eating healthily and maintaining a healthy lifestyle and I do not know why but I brought up this thing about a research done by my NS mate James.

James holds a phd in genetics engineering or some sorts, he's my age, 30 this year. So then this research of his was to be able to detect defects a kid would have when 2 individuals create life, and that he did not receive any funding in Singapore because we are still very against projects that are against moral values ie. altering the law of nature, which is why we are and I guess will never be supportive of gay marriages, as far as I'm alive, i think?

So this dood, Eric couldn't understand what moral issues would occur which I've enlightened him on elitism, searching for the holy grail of genes, where the best of the best will mate, where marriages will not only be on the condition of love or support but also quality of genes as well

Oh now i recall why we brought up the stuff on genes, I was just telling about a friend who passed like last week, car accident. He said it's very common these days to have young friends passing, one of his uni mate didn't even complete his university and pass within 2 years. Wasn't found late, just that surgery kept failing for no apparent reasons, which he was going to start about healthy living etc and then me being the #YOLO cult told him it may be because of genetics. We're all born with probably between 80 - 100 years of lifespan which we can never extend that amount, instead we can only live up to the max of the limit OR conveniently, stupidly reduce them like what I'm doing, smoking, bad sleeping habits, binge eating, obesity and the lists goes ~~~ So for someone to pass because of cancer is probably down to genetics and the word "BAD GENES" came into our conversations and he brought up something really simple yet deep.

He said, "with medical advancement, those that are suppose to die, live longer" which led to me bringing up the law of natural selection. Refer back to the term above, in short it meant survive of the fittest but not where the brightest and the most powerful survives BUT where the sick, defective and weak are filtered down and out of this world, where those who "deserves" to survive, survived.

A very real example - Wild Salmon vs Farm Salmon.
If wild salmon are sick, they struggle and get eaten by bigger fishes but when farm salmon are sick, they infect the whole farm.

It's a very indepth power struggle within because who has the right to judge who's to live and die, I strongly believe god shouldn't have that power, not even as the creator of human beings if he ever was. Everyone deserves a chance, story of David and Goliath, Hare and Tortoise, The Ugly duckling and other stories that teaches us everyone deserves a chance.

What about the moral lessons we are all taught, the human feelings and emotions on empathy, sympathy, kindness, care and concern... true humanity?

Then again, let me ask you all this question, what if it is indeed because of this medical advancements that anyone of your kids or yourself are medically deem defective, disabled, unequal, unjust and it's because of the medications that saved millions every year???

While science and medicine do saves people, what are truly the downside of that? Are we truly toying with something we do not know here? Will we one day really become extinct at our own peril? Well before I worry about that, I'd be long gone and that earth will eventually becomes inhabitable because of humans action long before our gene  pool kills us, I guess ~ Just refer back to he salmon example, what if we were all wild salmon and now became farm salmon?????

Ah, I'm getting goose-pimples just blogging this but I love to feed my brain with such intriguing thoughts, so real yet so unreal, just inception/matrix like ~

Blue pill or red pill??

Can't believe I actually took time to update and maintain our YEI Forum. Never knew I could be this crazy, but I know 1 thing for sure, it's never too late to start? Mr Ibrahim, came to my mind. He was quite a good looking Indian back in my primary school days. I've always tried to protect him though I admit to join in bullying him once in a while. Sometimes he'd come to me "begging" to help him or lend him money with his hands in "praying mode". I took pity of him ever since he did that once and when he told me "All i got is 40cents a day and they sto

The Pioneer LX55 Bluray Player Review

Pioneer Corporations, once the leading company for Home Theatre Systems, Display and Optical players, began to falter when the likes of Samsung, LG, Sharp etc came into picture with lower end products for the mass consumer. Pioneer, who steer clear form the niche market, producing high end products, fell to it's knees, withdrawing from the TVs market and started a joint venture with Sharp, resulted in absolute catastrophe. Pioneer fanboys nicknamed the products "Sharpioneer" A bold direction, right or wrong, there's too much points to take, although myself would 200% standby their decision to continue with making highend products previously, even though they failed eventually. Anyhow, ever since that catastrophic "Sharpioneer" released, tons of consumers ditched their players within days of purchases, the management finally woke the FUCK UP. Director Product Planning and Marketing Pioneer USA, Chris Walker started visiting multiple online forums, gat
