Singapore's Culture

21yrs 2days old, 26th February 2008. I was on 3 days MC on my birthday, many may presume I took MC for my birthday celebrations and I guess the doctor thought I was pitiful enough to be at NUH on my bdae he gave me 3 days instead of 2. Well spent my days sleeping thanks to those medicine. I'm on my 7th course of Antibiotics in the short span of 8weeks, thanks gawd I'm still alife.

Nonetheless, back to the main topic. Drove off to the market around my area and well as the news spreads, it is going to be torn down by this year June. Having lived through 14yrs in Holland V last time, from 2 wet market to currently 1 half fuck-ed market I was glad I moved to this area and now it is going to be "renovated" to become another 1/2 fuc*** one.

I honestly want to ask the government this, why change something that ain't need to fix? I agree the wirings are old and it can pose danger but will the "Market" be a "Market"? Will there ever be slippery floor with stench of raw meat and will there be shouting and bargaining that the culture so rich that is being called "Kiasu". Will our kids learn and know how great fresh food is and what freshness is all about?

I see what I see when I was 3 or 4yrs old, wearing boots cuz I hate dirty water splattering in between my toes, I used to hate going to market and till now it is one of the best place to be.

1st u wake up and drive to the market, spend about 20mins finding a parking lot, next you grab a seat and order a few breakfast dish; Carrot cake, 1 tone mee, chwee kway or even a heavy breakfast of kway chup. Topping up with grass jelly or tea or soya bean or anything.

Nxt up, you squeeze through fat aunties and uncles, pregnant ladies or grannies with trolleys looking at those fresh raw fish and poultry, the abundance of green leafy vegetables waiting for you. Of course the slippery floors with dirty water inbetween your feet and the sole of your shoes *ewww* still I'd enjoy that kind of feeling with my mum picking and choosing what's for dinner or lunch, what soup are we having, so much details as to the soup base, the vegetables, tofus, fish...

I can't help but look at the place, filled with excitement and anticipation of what I don't know. The place is just filled with energy. Recalled the "new" renovated holland v market, yeah it's cleaner and looks better and the word to sum it all is the ambience is so D E A D !

This entry is half past six as too much emotion has been put in and there is no proper structure and thus may not be understood. Pictures nxt time for the wonderful place I called "Wet Market"

Can't believe I actually took time to update and maintain our YEI Forum. Never knew I could be this crazy, but I know 1 thing for sure, it's never too late to start? But I'm really, growing too old for this. Ye Eun simply gorgeous! Credit: yeeun-impact.net / yeeun.wordpress.com And I blew up during dinner...
While caking, someone pop right into my head. Anyway, my top strength is: 1. Ideation: loves associating and providing ideas 2. Command: leadership, loves to put his ideas through 3. Futurist: star-trek 4. Individualisation: view individual base on strength weakness, not stereotyping 5. Learner: keen to learn In short, I'm a futuristic creative open commander! Sounds awesome eh? Strength Finder 2.0 is a book that only concentrate on strengths ($39.00) zero about weaknesses so all you hear are good stuff. ======= Individualisation Anyway back to my caking session. Mr Ibrahim, came to my mind. He was quite a good looking Indian back in my primary school days. I've always tried to protect him though I admit to join in bullying him once in a while. Sometimes he'd come to me "begging" to help him or lend him money with his hands in "praying mode". I took pity of him ever since he did that once and when he told me "All i got is 40cents a day and they sto

The Pioneer LX55 Bluray Player Review

Pioneer Corporations, once the leading company for Home Theatre Systems, Display and Optical players, began to falter when the likes of Samsung, LG, Sharp etc came into picture with lower end products for the mass consumer. Pioneer, who steer clear form the niche market, producing high end products, fell to it's knees, withdrawing from the TVs market and started a joint venture with Sharp, resulted in absolute catastrophe. Pioneer fanboys nicknamed the products "Sharpioneer" A bold direction, right or wrong, there's too much points to take, although myself would 200% standby their decision to continue with making highend products previously, even though they failed eventually. Anyhow, ever since that catastrophic "Sharpioneer" released, tons of consumers ditched their players within days of purchases, the management finally woke the FUCK UP. Director Product Planning and Marketing Pioneer USA, Chris Walker started visiting multiple online forums, gat
