I'm finally 23 years old, the age I'd die to be in, while i was in my younger days, often wanted to be older, to be more independent. Here I am, being 23 . . . *Deep Breathes* I'm honestly feeling the heat, responsibilities, expectations and failures of the tomorrows. So people, be careful what you wished for . . . Last Sunday, Caron & Ian already invited me out for Laksa Steamboat, I've asked them up umpteen times before if it's just the 3 of us. Well, when we reached the carpark, I saw Noel's Civic Type R. Upon reaching our seats, I saw Bernie and Ai Lei !!! and there were EMPTY SEATS. Deep within me was like, "FUCK! I wasn't groom at all, because school's tomorrow and if I shave today, I'll have 5pm shadows when I'm in school, and I'm in flip flops ... " Then we started greeting one another happy cny and then Bernie goes "EH Happy Birthday!" I was like, huh? I thought I heard wrongly and so did everyone else. Jim an

{A-Z} C1 : Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, marks the celebrations of all Chinese people across the globe. The actual festive period lasts for a total of 14 days with the Chinese New Year EVE as one of the most important day of this festive. Chinese Lunar New Year came about long long time ago, when there is this monster named “年”,pronounced as nian. In order to scare this monster away, you'd have to be in red, that is why children are giving red packets and most of the chinese population still attempt to wear red costumes during chinese new year. Also, firecrackers are "effective" to scare away the monster which further explains the excessive use of firecrackers during these period. This is what Chinese New Year is like for me, it's been like this for the past 20 odd years. About more than half a decade ago, I've totally just taken such occasions for granted, they've waited till 12am just for be to be home to "Lou Hei" or 捞鱼 in cantonese. 2
Preview of Kusu Island Photos! Nikon D90 and me! Woke up at 8am today, had to head down to town to sign my contract with agency with regards to my next job with OCBC. Nothing much to be negotiated, everything was fixed, printed and what awaits was merely my signature. Salary was my minimum asking amount, what made me accept this is that I've proper benefits like MC, Annual Leave and Medical Claims, on top of these I'm allowed to claim OT, but of course at the discretion of my employers. Got everything done and head back to PS for breakfast... Before the meeting at Peace Centre, I had to go through PS to get there, I went past this Brautwurst stall, at Basement 2 of PS and I think I saw her. She was my first eye candy back then, during my Poly days? I wasn't sure if she was really her, but I still remembered her black framed spectacles with her long silky pony tail. So, anyway, back to breakfast! I was on my way back to basement 2 to confirm my, hmmm, shall we call "aw

Clarification

Many have been asking about my connection with my ex, yeah we still do keep in contact, some times we share a little secret and advices here and there. Anyway this ex isn't the ex that i was talking about previously but rather... This is my ex No... NOT THE GIRL!!! She's the 3rd party, but we're friends ok! Haha, Darran was my better half for quite some time, it was a facebook inspired relationship we got ourselves into. I still remembered the way he hinted me for a clean cut break up, well he did prep me for that day and so I let it go and bless them, wholeheartedly! Yeap, I did wake up early just to make my ex's favourite pasta, Cabonara! Blah! But I didn't have enough time to prep for onions and to let it simmer well. Plus while he ate, it was already cold so it wasn't that great i think, though he finished everything aha! We went to Kusu island today, spent $15 on ferry each and $10 on purely drinks in the short 5hours stay at the once packed sacred island.

Goal

I told my dad I need to learn Cantonese, because that's like the 2nd language after English for bankers. In Asia, when you are talking about Financial Hub, it's probably just HK and SG~ Then I talk to him about me taking Spanish, and the prospect of what the Latin American countries in South America can offer. To my knowledge, not much actions have been taken to develop on the banking industry in that region. Every Tom Dick and Harry is heading to the middle east, showered themselves in crude oil or tie themselves on the crazy skyscrapers over there. It'd be really a dream, to be living in Brazil or Argentina, speaking simply sexy and exotic language, spanish. Living the "Mafia" life, magaritas, salsa dips, Torricelli and the lists goes... With the abundance in commodities, coffee beans, tea leaves, coal blablabla, it's a exrotic ( mispelt on purpose ) place to be in, a real moment to remember, and that if I ever could achieve that, I would have lived my life

Ideas

There was miscomm between my grandma and my uncle, she thought dinner as usual at my uncle's place tonight, when it was shifted to Saturday. Thank god we're here, so dinner's on us! Dad and I went to the old coffee shop around Holland area to get "zhi cha!". We know it'd be expensive because it's CNY, as usual, the rates as follows Extra $2.00 - For meat / seafood per dish Extra $1.00 - For Veg / Egg / Tofu per dish Extra $0.20 - 1 hot/cold drink. There you go. How absurd has this country become? Please tell me Mr Lee, are we suppose to stock up our groceries 2weeks before CNY and buy enough to last 2 weeks later, so that we aren't being rip off? $2000/mth used to be decent enough, but I guess if you're not taking back anywhere near the $3500 mark, you're basically working to pay debts off, almost your entire life. Enough rants, had a nice little chat with Dad, about investing in F&B industry, getting a house in M'sia instead. He sugges

Grandma ~

My grandma's place. The infamous Block 32 Holland Close, the only block that still had a cemetery smack right behind the block. I used to cycle inside too! It's day 2 of CNY, and I'm visiting my mum's mother! Anyway, as usual, the red dates with dried logan drink would definitely be served. This is to reduce the "heat" in our body, blessed by the Chinese New Year crackers, tidbits and bak-gua! I love you grandma, sometimes I really wonder if you'd understand how much I really cherish your existence and that do you know I really really really love ya? All i could do is to talk to you and treat you the best that i could, to care and *sayang* you? I hope you really know. You never fail to acknowledge me, even when I was a young brat, you always showered me with love your way and I will always remember that. Your smile has always this benevolence effect and that make me feel so comfortable every time I come visiting. I really wish to keep doing this for a very

2010's cny

Slept my way back to M'sia. Woke up @ Kluang! I pissed my sister off so badly that I felt so proud of myself. She was the one who noticed the stall selling cupcorn and reminded "us" to get it before leaving the place. Cupcorn are exceptionally tasty in M'sia. The salt used was definitely different, the margarine is definitely better and they add a secret weapon; condense milk. A tiny bit which just fuzes all taste including that of the corns' to perfection! While they're shopping for slippers and stuff, I noticed that they're sort of packing?! I quickly approached my mum for some cash and slipped over to buy a cup. There's only 2 cups left, and even though I had enough money to buy 2 cups, I simply refuse to get the other for my sis. The main purpose is, obviously to see the aftermath effect of being an arse! Well I ate, and she saw me eating and tell me to save some for her, I pretended not to hear and completely finished the cupcorn till the last dro
