I was brought up to treat female with the greater respect. Not simply because they, are physically weaker then men, but they are truly inspirational and respectable human, evidently in the power of the mother, no questions asked.
Holding doors, giving up seats, giving way and being polite are basic courtesy that all men should have, towards women. At least, that WAS what I truly believed, then.
Came the era where finally, women are given the opportunity and full access to the vast abundance of knowledge; Education. Education or knowledge itself, is to provide wisdom and power to each and every human being, that said, 2 major end product in this process - Wisdom & Power.

Since the new millenium, women has indeed rise to power, German Chancellor, PM of India and current CEO of Hewlett Packard are all women. This clearly reflect and refute against the statement "Women the weaker sex". As the years passed, the mean income of women has already surpassed men and many instances that women have outperformed men. The last London Olympics, Chinese swimmer clocked time faster than most men, who said women are physically weaker, compared to men?
Enough with the history and on with the reality. Just one fine day when some friend came to talk about issues they had amonsgt themselves, she wants to go on holiday wants to buy this and that but he cannot keep up and needs to save blablabla... same old story. So what's the problem? Compromise right? That's what I said, he has problem keeping up, so cut down on those luxurious stuff. NO! came the answer, men are just weak. Weak? Why not just dump him? Obviously you can't live without him whatever crap you can say.
The same person who said men are weak, commented that we aren't gentlemen to let her carry all her stuff. ??? What the fuck?
Another male friend is having problem saving to buy the wedding ring and keeps comparing his salary to his partner, well they're same age, so I told him to buffer the 2 years National Service he has to go through, and compare with her starting salary then, this give a more fair comparison, and if he wants to be that accurate, we can always refer to the Singapore Statistics for the CPI or the inflation rate and factor that in. Someone overheard me and said NO!, if they're truly capable, they do not have to compare it in such a manner. I'm amazed by the amount of whoreshit I heard these days.
So just because one is earning that few dollars more than the others, does that give the person the right to gloat and verbally abuse the other? The sad fact that they are finding arguments that only substantiate to their own advantage makes me really sad, I actually find them quite pitiful. Only those who lack confidence, will cover themselves up with spikes and shield themselves from pain
All I want to say is how much I miss those days where women actually appreciate the help they receive, be it holding the lift, or giving way to them and not take it for granted.
Sometimes giving way to female who give you the "fuck off" look, woah, life suck'd totally man.
I certainly can't live without woman but... sucks not to be appreciated.
