Road block

In a bit of a pinch actually, happiness wise, rather depressed these few days, the promotion actually did me no good, especially more so within the team, there are more jealousy than genuine appreciation. It's in the blood of my generation to think the world about themselves and lack that humility. Still you can never find fault with that because they will replace the next generation whether you like it or not. My only solution is to stepping up and showing them how good or how pathetic they really am, which doesn't really sit very well with couch potato here. Go big or go home, if I have to step up, I'll go all the way and you guys will be up against a real formidable opponent ya know?? Then again, no one force me to go into one of the ugliest industry in the world, in actual fact I once relish the hostile environment, that is, before I went in. Football's been shit, Liverpool hasn't won in so long, ridiculous performance, tactical blunders etc. It's re...

projekt home economy class

As I head off to dream land with the vision of how my 1st class kick-ass home would look like, the whole idea about spending S$40,000 on a 45sqm loft unit's kinda crazy, no doubt my kinda crazy but we could still use some common sense here. So here goes the crazy PS4 which I do not play and the PC down from the crazy i7 to the i3 would only cost me S$1300.00. I can't really cut back on the panel, it has to be 1080P  120hz refresh rate min. so it will still set me back S$3,xxx so keep it at S$4,000. My Stereo I can make do with my current DAC and just need a new set of speakers, probably get a larger one than existing yammy, or just stick to the current yammy for zero dollars. Currently using the 1 in the middle, MSP5, the living room would definitely benefit from the additional size and power. So budget S$1,000 for the pair + cables  and stand. So additional S$10,000 for paint job, simple carpentry shelves, a sofa, a bed, dinning table and chair, balcony tabl...

letting go... not?

Turning 30 in 30 odd days, I used to want to grow up so damn much but I miss my teenhood and refuse to grow up. The constant need to look at computer hardware when I barely able to game anymore and barely anyone there to game with too. Le sigh looking at all these specs and games and gears simply like a retired Rock Star looking at the street full of people selling crack... Full water cooling PC with neon lights in the desk used to be a distant dream, now it's a reality. Solid Steel table with fiber glass going at S$1200 SGD Details: http://www.lian-li.com/en/dt_portfolio/dk-04/ Then there was another dream,  the slightly more grown up dream of having a fanless HTPC, Home Theatre PC. Fan increases vibrations and vibrations are huge nonos to audiophiles, most of us stream music from PCs these days hence that new dream. When owning a car became utter stupidity, getting the above became a necessity, money is not the factor, rationality is. When am I home? How long w...

Women 3.0

In my 3 part trilogy on women, hahhaha !! I shall let you know why as fucked up, mental, emotional as they are, we cannot and will not be able to survive without them. Living in a country created by one man, the late Lee Kuan Yew, the country known as Singapore, didn't came into the world without advice for his late wife. Buying any public housing anywhere requires a lawyer, and they charged by the thousands,  his wife volunteer and start a public office where citizens were charged S$5.00 and the lawyers that were employed were paid min. lawyers rate by the government. And now after 50 years with inflation and what not, it's only S$50.00. This is just one of the many decisions she made which almost every Singaporean enjoyed. Like the chinese saying goes, behind every successful man is a supportive wife. Do you know how hard a job a wife has? To those who have never lived alone, you'll never know the pains of getting every detail right, from sufficient groceries t...

Women v2.0

After a nice walk to dinner with my folks, the enlightenment came. While my last post was fully one sided but based on facts, I can't help but wish to counter my biased opinion, the usual bad habit of a real sociologist. And i found it!! It's the society. Women are brought to this world learn to be weaker than men, they are suppose to cry, throw tantrums and be unreasonable. And then came this whole revolution of gender equality, equal pay at work, equal chances with promotion which is against the school of meritocracy, at least in my world. Females were put into places of power to showcase to the world that we are practicing what we preach but most of the time these women are mere puppets of men who put them there. And women retaliate by building their own armies of women, whether they are  more adequate than men aside, obviously you'd trust your "kind" more than the opposite right? And yes it is us, both men and women, humans of the world who made ...

Women.

Rarely have I met a female that truly able to handle the corporate world with poise and respect,  Pat & Trace always offered the other side of the coin but sad truth's that I've never ever met any female who I could bow down and wholeheartedly give my life to. Something happened at work, while my scope and department will always be filled with women, the layers above me have well been females. 5 years within the industry in my limited view and please take this as the opinion of the "toad in the well" who's vision of the world's narrow as such, been only emotional,  impractical, childish and uninspiring at best. Odin was the initial leader of Asgard, as Odin aged, Odin decided to pass the helm to someone else, oddly the Gods gave helm to Hulk, a persistently angsty princessy bitch, upon her appointment, we lost 3 generals and 3 knights. Gods finally cast her out of Asgard and re-appoint Odin. With the realm short of worthy generals, Odin could only ap...

1/2017

Kim Tae Hee was my first love, that's the main reason why I couldn't watch Yong Pal when it first came out. How can she be pair with such a young boy, as much as I love good doctor, still feels this as and odd pair. Luckily I gave it a try, so many pretty babes in this for one, quite a thrilling story, no doubt draggy at times and sufficient humor to stop us all from suffocating. Odd it may be, still can't get past Joo Won speaking normally in his robe, Good Doctor left too huge an impression. Would've preferred longer extension to 20 eps and an alternative ending to the siblings feud, no doubt step-siblings they were, no kids born into this world to hate. The scene where Kim Tae Hee lift the chair for Joo Won to sit made my heart skipped many beats, imagine I was there I think I would've lived enough ahhahaha!! A lot of meaningful reality quotes in this drama, magnificent acting by my first love, really worth the time. "There's no one with no fri...

Into 2017

What I hate about 2017 is the hist luck that I'm likely gonna be in http://www.yourchineseastrology.com/horoscope/rabbit/yearly.htm And of course 2016 has been really shit, so many deaths my grandma, Johan Cryuff, Princes Leia etc. Well and that 3 days Toronto trip which was suppose to be 10, the lousy Perth trip which cost me S$3000, should've just flew to Toronto for 5days and it'd cost the same???  At least I've something to look forward to... my house ~ likely Q4 2017. To my friends, hope 2017 will great year for you and a quiet and peaceful one for me. SJ OUT.
